We have many people from all over the World looking at this blog, but we don’t have a lot a of followers. This is okay because we know the Holy Spirit will bring those that He wishes to view it, to see what He wants them to see and think about their own salvation. We believe the main point God is trying to make with all of us is to not assume we have everything in the bag and we are all set for the Heavenly Gates. When we start assuming that we have done everything we need to do for Salvation, then the devil knocks us off of our pedestals and starts to tempt us with everything he can to pull us away from God. This is why as we move closer to Jesus, we get bombarded with all kinds of trials that we were not dealing with when we were not working on our Relationship with Jesus. The more we move towards Jesus Christ, the more trials we will witness in our own lives, but these are all tests that Jesus allows to purify us.

There are many different souls looking at this blog, not just those of us that are working on our Relationship with Jesus, trying to become more Holy and working on becoming a Disciple for Him. If you have stumbled across this blog, and have read a few posts about all the things the Holy Spirit has guided us to on why we are in the end times, then take time right now and ask Jesus if you are saved? Just because we believe in God and do good things in the world doesn’t mean we are saved. We don’t say this to judge, but to point you back to God’s Word in Scripture. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as the Son of God Our Father in Heaven, and you have not confessed your sins and asked Jesus for forgiveness, then you will not be saved. If you believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God the Father, but you do not try to turn away from sin and continue to commit egregious sin, then He may reject you as Lukewarm, and you may not be saved. If you have heard the Gospel, knew Jesus at one time, but now reject Him for a pagan god, you will not be saved unless you turn back to Him! These are all different things the devil does through temptation to pull us away from God. The biggest lie of all is that Satan will continue to tell us that we are saved and we don’t have to pray or go to Church, we don’t have to turn away from sin, and we can accept other gods in our lives because God Our Father is big enough to allow it all! Jesus forgives all sin, but He expects us to put forth effort to move away from sin as we move towards Him. The more effort we put forth to move away from sin, the more graces we receive from Jesus to keep moving towards Him. The more we move towards Him, the more trials we may endure to go through our Transformation into His image.

There are many lies that we believe today because we don’t read God’s Word to know the Truth, and we listen to all of the people in the World, who also believe the lies that Satan is telling them. Stop believing these lies, Surrender to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you of your sins, and start reading His Word. John 1:1-5, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him, nothing came to be. What came to be through was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not covered it.” So, Saint John is telling us God spoke Life, with the Holy Spirit, since the beginning, and that Life was Jesus, and Jesus is the light of the World. Notice, how all three of the Blessed Trinity is in this, because they are all three one God. John is telling us right here that we can’t be saved without Jesus. Also notice how he uses “Word” synonymous with Life and Jesus. The Bible is God’s Word, because it is divinely inspired, and if you are not following God’s Word, which is also Jesus, you will not have eternal life!

We can’t assume that if we have been baptized, that is our ticket to Salvation. We also can’t assume that if we are good people, that is our ticket to Salvation. The Truth is only God knows who is saved when we stand before Him in judgement! But, if we are baptized with Water and the Holy Spirit, strive to alleviate sin in our lives, seek Jesus everyday, read His Word, and work on our Relationship with Him in prayer and love for Him, then we know we are on the right track. This is because His Word tells us this and His Word is the Bible.

If you don’t know Jesus, as the Son of God Our Father, who suffered and died for our sins and salvation, then start asking Him for the Truth! You can look at all of the different posts in this blog and see that it appears we are in the end times based on prophetic warnings and messages being fulfilled, Biblical prophecy being fulfilled, and catastrophic weather phenomena all over the world. We know it, because the Holy Spirit has revealed it to us, but if you are still in doubt, then start praying to Jesus for the Truth! We are only here to serve Jesus in assisting Him with the Salvation of Souls and write what He guides us to write, but only you can choose Jesus now and work on your Salvation!

I want to point out something very significant that caught my eye while watching a Jason A video titled, Climate Chaos in 2020: WORLDWIDE EVENTS! Besides the wonderful job that Jason did on pointing out the cataclysmic weather events all over the world, there is something very important that he showed us about a Catholic Church that was destroyed in the 6.4 Earthquake that hit Puerto Rico last month. The Church was destroyed except for the Bible that was open and sitting on a table in the middle of the Church, and on the opposite wall, a picture hanging of the Divine Mercy Image of Jesus! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vQkU3x8b4Jc.

If you are not familiar with the Divine Mercy Image of Jesus given to Saint Faustina Kowalska, by Jesus in 1939, then you need to go back and study everything we have written about the Warning and Illumination of Conscience in this blog. In the Jason A video of the Immaculate Conception Church in Puerto Rico that had walls caved in, there was a huge crack in the wall behind the large painting of Jesus in the Divine Mercy Image. Jesus, told Saint Faustina in 1939, that if we prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet prayer while looking upon this image, Souls would be saved! In this small Church, during the 6.4 earthquake, the picture of Jesus had not fallen to the ground! This speaks volumes to me, with the help of the Holy Spirit, in that although people are dying in these chastisements, He is still saving souls and He is with us! Please keep praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet daily for the Salvation of Souls. God, has shown us a sign, and those of us with our Spiritual eyes and ears open are listening.

We have noticed in several of Jason A videos that when he shows an earthquake or tornado or some other weather event, in any kind of Christian denomination Church, the Bible will be untouched! This has happened over and over again all over the world and Jason keeps pointing this out! Thank you Jason, for continuing to show us this sign from God. God’s Word will not be shaken or destroyed, and He is telling us this through these Jason A videos, that we have witnessed in the last three years. The point I am making is that there are two significant observations in this latest Jason A video. The first is God’s Word that will not be destroyed, meaning God’s Word is Divine Truth. The second is that God’s Divine Mercy is coming in the Warning soon! As soon as I saw this video, I felt compelled by the Holy Spirit to show everyone that will listen, that God is giving us signs everywhere! Even though the image was revealed to a Catholic Saint, the message that God is showing us is for everyone. Please don’t read this post, or the other posts in this blog and believe that the Warning is only for Catholics, because it is not. It is for everyone, and even more for non-believers.

Another thing that Jason A has touched on in his last two videos is the fact that people are starting to see what they believe, are Unidentified Flying Objects, U.F.O.s. First of all, there are two things that God has pointed out to us very clearly on this subject. The first is that there is no mention of aliens from another planet in our Bible, God’s Word. If He had created aliens, He would have told us about it in Scripture. Second, is that there is something that God has warned us about in His Word, and that is the fallen angels and the Nephilim in Genesis 6:1-4. This is a subject all on it’s own to discern and study and pray to the Holy Spirit on what He wants to reveal to us. There were giants that were created by the fallen angels, but we are not going to try and put anything out on it until prompted by the Holy Spirit. However, here is a prophetic message from our Blessed Mother on what people are starting to see as aliens. http://www.jesusmariasite.org/mother-of-god-fallen-angels-you-call-aliens-are-already-among-you/. We don’t tell you this to frighten you, but for you to grow stronger in your Faith and that we are all protected by Jesus and Our Blessed Mother. The main thing that we all need to understand is that aliens do not exist, but the Nephilim did and the people that are possessed by the devil right now are having black masses and calling these demons out.

What we want to leave you with in your prayers today is to continue to pray for the Salvation of Souls through the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and the protection of Our Lord’s Precious Blood to cover us. Put on the Full Armor of God and know that He is always with us. Ephesians 6:11-13, “Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood, but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to hold your ground.”

As we pray to the Holy Spirit for Truth of the times we are in, let us also gather in our prayer groups and pray for words of Wisdom. We are starting to see a trend, as Jesus is separating the sheep from the goats, on how Satan has used deception of modernism and libertinism against us to further his victories in the end times. We are seeing a separating of people, including people that claim to know God, from those that adhere to God’s Word. Why did God bring us His Word in written form? It is because He knew this day would come when we would fall away from His Laws and Commandments, just like the Israelites did in the Old Testament. This does not happen in an instant, because it takes generation after generation of stepping away from God and the Holy Spirit and falling towards the temptations of the sins of the world and leading us to believe this is not sin, this is just acceptance of the way things are. God says No! Just as an earthly father reprimands his children, God Our Father reprimands us, when we are wrong!

This is not complicated, but the devil makes it complicated because he wants us to be confused. Because if he sows doubt, then he has his foot in the door to keep tempting us to believe that maybe this isn’t who God really is. Maybe God loves us through the sin and if we sin, but have a good heart, we will be forgiven when we stand before Him in judgement. No, brothers and sisters! This is the devil’s language, because God does love us, but not once in His Word, (Scripture) did he say, go ahead and keep sinning and we work it all out in the end. No, God Our Father, and His beautiful Son, Jesus Christ consistently told us in the Bible to move away from sin. A perfect example of this is the woman that was brought before Jesus for adultery and trying to test Jesus, they said to Him that the law of Moses says we should stone her to death, but what do you say? John 8:7-10, “But when they continued asking him, he straightened up and said to them, ‘Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.’ Again, he bent down and wrote on the ground. And in response, they went away one by one, beginning with the elders. So he was left alone with the woman before him. Then Jesus straightened up and said to her, ‘Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?’ She replied, ‘No one, sir.’ Then Jesus said, ‘Neither do I condemn you. Go [and] from now on do not sin any more.”

The deception of modernism and libertinism is that the devil has convinced many people to only see the first half of this Scripture. Which is, do not judge anyone, lest ye be judged. The devil deals with half truths in our minds because he knows that if we reflect on that half truth, it will sow doubt, and we say to ourselves, “Yes, that is what Jesus said, do not judge.” But, we have to read and look at all Scripture, to get understanding from the Holy Spirit, on the full message that Jesus was telling us here. Which is, we need to correct ourselves and our own sins before we try and correct others, but because Jesus has forgiven us of our sins, we all should sin no more! This includes all sins, not just the big ones.

So, we must, as Disciples of Christ, pray for words of Wisdom from the Holy Spirit, to show people this Scripture in a loving and gentle way. People that are influenced by modernism and libertinism will always say, “You are Judging!” So, everything we do in response to this accusation, must come from the Holy Spirit in Love, and Peace and Gentleness. These are fruits from the Holy Spirit, we must continue to pray for so that as the times of distress gets worse, we can help people see Jesus in us, but also the Truth of sin. People must understand that Spiritualism is not The Holy Spirit. Spiritualism is man making up his own concept of God and how he relates to God in his own way, not from the Holy Spirit.

When Prophet and Visionary Luz De Maria gets a prophetic message and refers to our lack of Spirituality, she is speaking about the Holy Spirit! She is speaking to our lack of obedience to God’s Will and our lack of yielding to the Holy Spirit. If we are steeped in sin, our ability to hear the Holy Spirit gets more difficult because we are choosing against God in our sins. We have to be able to explain to others that if we don’t change our own sinful behavior, then we are not in God’s Divine Will, and the Holy Spirit will pull away from us. The more sin we choose, the more the devil keeps tempting us to move away from God and into libertinism.

Now, can we see the bigger picture of what God is trying to say to us? And how do we show this to others, whose Spiritual eyes and ears are closed to the Holy Spirit because of their oppression of sin? Only the Blessed Trinity can open their eyes and ears, but we have to be the vessels that God uses to speak to them. We have to sow the seed for Jesus in a gentle, loving, and compassionate way. Please pray for these graces in your prayer groups and at home. We can all sense that time is running short, and if we don’t try to sow a seed for Jesus now to our families and friends, they may die in a chastisement before they come back to Jesus and move away from sin with the help of the Holy Spirit. We don’t know how Jesus will judge us, when we stand before Him, but we do know from His Word that tells us in John 8:10 “Go [and] from now on do not sin any more“.

If we study Scripture, and get understanding from the Holy Spirit on how God is consistent in both Old Testament and New Testament, we have to ask ourselves where are the Refuges and Safe Havens that the modern day Prophets are talking about in the Bible? Because it is important to test the Prophets, to ensure they are truly hearing God’s Word, it is good to take their messages back to Scripture. If it is something that doesn’t sit well in your discernment from the Holy Spirit, it may be because it conflicts with Scripture. So, if you are just now hearing or reading about prophetic messages that speak on a refuge or a safe haven, it is good to see if it is consistent with God’s Word.

Both Catholic Prophet John Leary and Non-Catholic Prophet Lois Vogel Sharp are getting prophetic messages from God Our Father and Jesus about these places of safety that God is leading us to for protection. These places of refuge and safe havens are not to protect us during His wrath, but to protect us from the antichrist, persecution, earthquakes, and severe cataclysmic weather events before God’s wrath that will renew the Heaven and the Earth. So, we need to study about these places of protection in Scripture, so that we have more confirmation that what the prophets are telling us is the Truth.

If we study the two words, “refuge” and “safe haven” in Scripture, we can see that they are mentioned many times as a place to go for God’s protection. This protection is from God’s enemies, but also from His wrath. Why would we need God’s protection from His wrath, if we are His Children? Because God uses many different ways to destroy His enemies, and unless we follow His Prophets and Angels and are obedient to His Word, then we will perish with those that have chosen against Him or His Word. A good example of this is Moses telling the Israelites to take the blood of the slaughtered lamb and put it on the doorposts at the Passover in Exodus, 12:7, “They will take some of the blood and apply it to the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.” Exodus, 12:12-13, “For on the same night, I will go through Egypt, striking down every firstborn in the land, human being and beast alike, and executing judgment on all the gods of Egypt, I, am the Lord! But for you the blood will mark the houses where you are. Seeing the blood, I will pass over you; thereby when I strike the land of Egypt, no destructive blow will come upon you.” Another good example are the two Angels giving Lot instruction on leaving the city of Sodom in Genesis 19:15, the two Angels instructed Lot to take his family and leave before God destroyed the city. “As dawn was breaking, the angels urged Lot on, saying, Come on! Take your wife with you and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away in the punishment of the city.” Genesis 19:17, “As soon as they had brought them outside, they said: ‘Flee for your life! Do not look back or stop anywhere on the plain. Flee to the hills at once, or you will be swept away.” Genesis 19:24-26, “and the Lord rained down sulfur upon Sodom and Gomorrah, fire from the Lord out of heaven. He overthrew those cities and the whole plain, together with the inhabitants of the cities and the produce of the soil. But Lot’s wife looked back, and she was turned into a pillar of salt.”

Here are some scripture verses on the word “refuge”, but the most important is Psalm 91, which, Father Michel Rodrigue stated we will be praying as we leave for both the interim and permanent refuges led by Our Guardian Angels. https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/God-Being-Our-Refuge. We have to understand that God is our refuge Spiritually and Physically. He protects us from all harm and destruction to our souls and our bodies. Here are also some scripture verses on the word “safe haven” or “shelter”, https://biblereasons.com/shelter/. Also, Psalm 43:2, “For you are God, my only safe haven. Why have you tossed me aside? Why must I wonder around in grief, oppressed by my enemies?”

Lastly, we need to look at the Book of Revelation, Chapter 12. We studied this last year in regards to the refuge that John Leary has talked about, and I have even heard Lois Vogel Sharp mention Revelations, 12:4, because God Our Father is always pointing to Lois that we are in the “1,2,4” time frame. Lois is not Catholic, but as a Christian and a Prophet, the Holy Spirit has revealed to her the significance of our Church fleeing to the desert because of the devil pursuing it for persecution. Because of the significance that the Holy Spirit has revealed to us about Our Blessed Mother Mary in the end times, we also believe this woman in Revelation, Chapter 12, represents our Church and our Blessed Mother Mary. Because of God’s infinite wisdom, Scripture reveals to us what we all know to be Divine Truth. Our discernment of Revelation 12, will have to be explained on a deeper level and we will put this in a post all by itself. It is very significant to how God places us in a refuge for protection, while He renews the Heaven and the Earth. Our discernment from the Holy Spirit may not be exactly what is discerned by the Prophets in this blog, however, we will put it in this post, and you can pray for discernment from the Holy Spirit yourselves. The bigger picture is that the Holy Spirit is revealing to us the significance of both a refuge and safe haven under God’s protection and why we need to listen to these chosen prophets of God.

As we study God’s Word, the Bible, we see consistency in His Word to His Prophets in the Old Testament and modern day prophets today. God is so good, that He graciously warns us over and over again through many different servants, of consequences for turning away from Him. This is why it is so critical to read God’s Word and pray for discernment from the Holy Spirit for understanding. We have to seek the Lord with all of our hearts, minds, and souls daily, and when we do this, we receive the graces of understanding. We also start to get God’s consistency in His warnings through His prophets and know that although He is merciful, we must never abandon His Commandments and Laws. As His children, we have to be humble enough to see, when this takes place, and then come back to Him in repentance.

In the Book of Zephaniah, Chapter 2:2-3 it reads, “Gather, gather yourselves together, O nation without shame! Before you are driven away, like chaff that disappears; before there comes upon you the blazing anger of the Lord; Before there comes upon you the day of the Lord’s anger. Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who have observed his law; Seek justice, seek humility; Perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord’s anger.” Here, the prophet Zephaniah is speaking to the Judaeans, but look at what Our Lord is saying to them, so that they do not experience God’s wrath. This is the same message in the Book of Revelation, to the seven Churches. Seek God with all of our hearts, be humble, follow His laws, seek forgiveness and repent! Then God will shelter you when He returns to destroy the wicked. This is why prophetic messages from John Leary, Father Michel, and Lois Vogel Sharp, on a physical refuge that is supernaturally protected by God’s Holy Legions of Angels, makes sense. Psalm 91 in the Book of Psalms is not just speaking of a spiritual refuge, it is also speaking about a physical refuge in which we are protected by God’s Angels. Look how many times God has sent His Holy Legions of Angels to protect all of His children in the Old Testament. Please read and become familiar with Psalm 91 and understand it’s importance of knowing it in these end times.

In the Book of Zechariah, which means, “God Remembers“, Chapter 21:1-4, it reads, “I raised my eyes and looked and there were four horns. Then I asked the angel who spoke with me, ‘What are those?’ He answered, “Those are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.” Then the Lord showed me, four workmen. And I said, what are these coming to do? And the Lord said, “Those are the horns that scattered Judah, so that none could raise their heads any more; and these have come to terrify them – to cut down the horns of the nations that raised their horns to scatter the land of Judah.” Here Our Lord is speaking about the four countries that dispersed all of the Israelites, but notice He also said that they scattered Judah, so that they could not raise their heads anymore. In discernment from the Holy Spirit, this to me means they also could be the four horns that will destroy Israel in Daniel 8:8-9, that we spoke about in a previous post in this blog. Which, also indicated that the antichrist will come from one of these four countries in Daniel 8:10-12. Even here, Our Lord is consistent in His prophecies in explaining events to come through different servants.

Then in Zechariah, Chapter 5, after chapter 4 explains the Two Olive Trees (Witnesses) for God, verses 3-4, it reads, “Then he said to me, ‘This is the curse which is to go forth over the whole land. According to it, every thief and every perjurer will be expelled. I will send it forth-oracle of the Lord of hosts- so that it will come to the house of the thief, and into the house of the one who swears falsely by my name. It shall lodge within each house, consuming it, timber and stones.” After reading this again, this curse could also be represented by Planet X, or Hercolubus in the Book of Revelations, because it said that each house will be consumed, timber and stones!

Then further on in Zechariah, Chapter 5, verses 5-11, he describes a basket of wickedness, a woman in a basket, that also represents the Harlot in Revelations that brings adultery of other pagan religions. It reads, “Then the angel who spoke with me came forward and said to me ‘Raise your eyes and look. What is this that comes forth?’ I said, what is it? And he answered, ‘This is the basket that is coming. And he said, this is their guilt in all of the land.’ Then a leaden cover was lifted, and there was a woman sitting inside the basket. He said, ‘this is wickedness’, and he thrust her inside the basket, pushing the leaden weight into the opening.” Notice there is a leaden weight covering this wickedness of paganism and evil (which means, she is bound by the Angel). Also notice in Chapter 5, verse 11, a temple will be built for this harlot (pagan religion) in the land of Shinar, which is in Babylonia. (Babylon is destroyed by God in the Book of Revelations). We have to understand that God protects us from all evil that is bound by Him, when we have His full provision, but when we forsake Him, He pulls back and allows evil to take over.

Then in Zechariah, Chapter 11:10, it reads, “Then I took my staff Delight and snapped it in two, breaking my covenant which I had made with all of the peoples.”

Chapter 11:15-17, it reads, “The Lord said to me; This time take the gear of a foolish shepherd. For I am raising up a shepherd in the land who will take no note of those that disappear, nor seek the strays, nor heal the injured, nor feed the exhausted; but he will eat the flesh of the fat ones and tear off their hoofs! Ah! my worthless shepherd who forsakes the flock! May the sword fall upon his arm and upon his right eye; His arm will surely wither, and his right eye surely go blind!” Here Our Lord in verses 10-14, has pulled back from His people because of the betrayal to Him (Thirty pieces of silver) and is clearly angry and has allowed a false shepherd to come in and lead His children astray. Notice, this is something that God allowed because of the betrayal. We broke our covenant with Him through paganism and not following His laws, so He broke His covenant with us. In Chapter 11:6, “For I no longer pity the inhabitants of the earth-oracle of the Lord-Yes, I will deliver them into each other’s power, or into the power of their kings; they will crush the earth, and I will not deliver it out of their power.” Again, our Lord allowed the people to be delivered into the evil rulers of the nations that will eventually destroy the earth in War in the Book of Revelations.

Then in Zechariah, Chapters 13 and 14, God puts an end to the False Prophecy, crushes idolatry, crushes the evil kingdoms, and restores the earth to the New Heaven and New Earth, which is also like the Book of Revelations.

The Book of Zechariah appears to be a smaller version of Revelations, but the betrayal of Him through His children practicing a false religion, a false prophet, harlotry with other pagan religions, and not following God’s laws and commandments are the same. Also, the coming of Our Lord to destroy the evil and create a New Earth are the same. This all comes from us pulling away from God, like the Israelites did, and us breaking our covenant with Him, by not following His laws or commandments. Because we don’t know and live by God’s Word in our Nations, we have become complicit in His laws and commandments, thus revealing where we are today with evil and darkness spreading all over the world.

At least as the Remnant, we can try and comfort Our Lord in prayer, pray for His mercy, and become His disciples to serve Him.

As we study Revelations and how God uses the number “7” to represent completeness, let’s study the Letters to the Seven Churches and if the Holy Spirit reveals to us where we fit in our Spiritual Journey with Jesus. The Letters to the Seven Churches of Asia Minor in Revelations 1:19, tells us that Jesus is speaking to Saint John of Patmos, whom we believe to be either John the Apostle, or another Apostle that was taught by Saint John. But, as Jesus is speaking to John about writing down what He is saying, it appears Jesus is passing judgement on seven different groups of followers of Christ. The names of the Churches are those of the names of the Roman Province in the year 81 – 96 A.D. But, if we study the words that Jesus used in Revelations 1:19, it reads, “Write down, therefore, what you have seen, and what is happening, and what will happen afterwards.” The Holy Spirit is revealing to us that Jesus is speaking of things in past, present, and future tense. Meaning, Jesus’ words to His Church covers the past, present, and future, which includes us. As I explain what I believe the Holy Spirit is showing us, please follow along in your Bibles and read each letter individually. Your discernment may be different from mine, because as the Holy Spirit is guiding us to examine ourselves, then He may show you something different than what He is revealing to me and where we each individually are on our journey to become Saints.

Jesus said in Revelations 1:20, the meaning of the stars in His right hand are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. We understand from studying scripture that Angels have a special place as our Guardians on Earth. We each have a Guardian Angel, and it is believed that whole regions and countries have Angels watching over them. Our Guardian Angels are constantly trying to influence us to do God’s Will and remain righteous and holy for the Blessed Trinity. As Jesus is speaking to the Angels of the Churches, we have to ask ourselves, is He speaking to the Angels and giving them guidance on how to guide us in His Church, or is He passing judgement on us as His Church and preparing the Angels for Tribulation that is coming because we are sinning, pagan worshippers, false teachers, proud, lukewarm and indifferent? Either way, if you are a Baptized Christian, you are part of His Church and are supposed to be a light to the rest of the world as one of the seven lampstands. Because, we have been told the Truth about Jesus Christ and have received the Holy Spirit at some point in our lives, we have an obligation to Jesus to live, breath, teach, and spread the gospel to Non-Christians. Because we already know the Truth, the weight of judgement is heavier on us for failing to fulfill His Will than it is for someone that has never heard the gospel. In addition, the weight of judgement is heavier for a person who claims to be a Christian, but practices pagan idolatry, or has rejected Christ for pagan gods. This weight of judgement is also very heavy for those Jesus has entrusted as His Shepherds to spread the gospel and feed His flock God’s Word and Commandments to keep them in alignment with His Will.

As we study the letters to each Church, the discernment I am getting is that Jesus is warning us to repent for the actions we are doing and not doing for His Church. Remember, we have sins of commission and omission and He is warning us of what is coming, because we are His Lampstands, His Body, His Instruments to live what He taught us both physically and spiritually in accordance to His Will, and if we don’t, then we will be judged accordingly with His Divine Justice.

The first letter to Ephesus, Jesus said that this Church has done good works, avoids the wicked, stayed away from false shepherds, but their love of God has grown cold! Wow, this speaks volumes to me! These are the followers of Christ who go to Church, do good things for people, stay clear of people who teach false doctrine, but do not have the love of God they used to have and have lost their relationship with Him. This is a lot of Christians because we believe if we just do good things and believe in Jesus and go to Church, then we are good people and don’t have to worry about our sins or strive for holiness. Jesus is telling us right here, that this is not enough, and if we don’t repent and regain that LOVE for Him to avoid all sin, and go back to the works of LOVE we had for Him, He will remove that Church from its place! Does this mean, we will no longer have a place at His table? Examine your heart and ask the Holy Spirit. Either way, Jesus asks us to repent and get back to the LOVE and relationship we once had with Him.

The Church of Smyrna is told that they will suffer because Satan is in their Church and although they seem poor, they are actually rich, (This to me means, rich in Christ). Smyrna is told they will suffer and be martyred, but this will be part of their test. Those that remain faithful until death, will receive the crown of life eternally with Jesus in Heaven. Remember, in Revelations 13:9 “Whoever has ears ought to hear these words. Anyone destined for captivity goes into captivity. Anyone destined to be slain by the sword shall be slain by the sword. Such is the faithful endurance of the holy ones.”

Letter to the Church of Pergamum, Jesus is telling them that although their Church is where Satan’s throne is, (meaning where Satan’s demons roam freely and satanic practices are frequent), they remain faithful to Jesus. However, there are some that follow false teaching and conduct some idol worship or pagan practices. Therefore, they must repent or else Jesus will wage war with them, like He will with His wrath against the evil ones. Notice here that even though some Christians have fallen to paganism, Jesus still gives us a chance to repent.

Letter to the Church of Thyatira, Jesus is saying that although this Church is doing well towards the works of Jesus, they have allowed a Jezebel spirit in to teach a false teaching leading Church members to paganism and false worship of many false gods. (Harlotry represents leaving God for false gods and other religions.) Jesus even says He gave this Church an earlier chance to repent, but the Jezebel spirit keeps leading them into more false worship and idolatry. Thus, Jesus has judged them to sickness and death and everyone will know why He judged them this way. However, those that are not practicing a false teaching or the deep secrets of Satan, will not be judged this way, but must stay steadfast in their correct teaching until Jesus returns.

Letter to the Church of Sardis, Jesus is saying that this Church appears to be doing the work of Christ, but actually is not. Meaning, whatever work they say they are doing for Jesus, they are actually doing for themselves. This is why it so important to pray for Humility everyday. As Christians, our Love for the Blessed Trinity compels us to serve Jesus, but if we are not careful, the devil can lead us down a wrong path and we end up building up our own egos. Then, Satan will take it and put in the spirit of pride, which is what led to the fall of Lucifer. Pride is a horrible sin that we must pray and ask Jesus to remove from our hearts daily. Again, Jesus gives them a chance to repent and said there were a few here that did not soil their garments with sin.

Letter to the Church of Philadelphia, Jesus is saying this is the Church, the light, the righteous children of God, that have kept His Word and never has denied His Name. My own discernment from the Holy Spirit is that this Church is the Remnant. If you read Revelations 3:10, “Because you have kept my message of endurance, I will keep you safe in the time of trial that is going to come to the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. I am coming quickly. Hold fast to what you have, so that no one may take your crown.” This is where We, Disciples of Christ, must strive to be. These are the followers of Christ that will be protected in the refuge because we withstood the time of trial to the whole world, (War, Famine, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, etc..) and continued to have Faith and Trust in Jesus and never abandoned Him. We will also continue to spread His gospel until we enter the refuge for the salvation of souls.

Letter to the Church of Laodicea, Jesus is telling this Church that their pride has led them to material richness of the world, therefore have no more need of Him, nor do they Love Him as a child of God should Love Him. Their pride and lust for things of the world has left them sinful, arrogant, proud, and totally oblivious to who God is. They are neither on Fire (Hot) for the Love of God, nor ignorant of the gospel (Cold), because they have been shown the Truth of Jesus, and have chosen to ignore Him and His teachings completely. This makes Jesus angry because they have been given God’s Word and the Holy Spirit, but have chosen to ignore Him. But yet, Our Lord is still giving them a chance to repent, because it is never too late to come back to Jesus.

As we examine our own conscience, let’s not look at these Churches as specific denominations of Christ, but where we each individually fit as His lampstands. We have to ask the Holy Spirit daily to show us what our sins are and we need to repent of those sins. We need to go Confession, if Catholic, and if we aren’t sure exactly where we are on our Spiritual journey, then just strive to be in the Church of Philadelphia as the best child of God we can be and work towards holiness. When the Warning comes, Jesus will show us where we stand in our sins, but He will give us another chance to repent, and if we strive to be the best child of God we can be now, then it will not be as difficult or painful during the Warning when we see all of our unconfessed sins.
