Good afternoon, Disciples of Jesus Christ. Wow! We have a very big post for you today as more and more events continue to unfold. Gill Broussard was interviewed again on how close he believes Planet 7X is to Earth and Prophet Shelley Anna is also prophesizing with messages from Our Lord that this Ninth planet is coming soon! First, let’s look at Isaiah Chapter 24, which we have posted in this blog before ourselves because we too have been shown by the Holy Spirit that this Ninth Planet, is Planet 7X or the Great Comet of Chastisement that Our Blessed Mother has been warning us about. It doesn’t really matter what we call it, but to know that it is most likely a binary system that either has a Second Sun with binary objects rotating around it (mini solar system), or it is a Comet the size of a small planet with orbiting objects (meteors and rocks) around it, like Gill Broussard has stated. Either way, this is what we have been shown by the Holy Spirit as to what will be used to renew the Heaven and Earth and eradicate all evil during the Tribulation period.

The Lord’s Devastation of the Earth

24″ See, the Lord is going to lay waste the earth
    and devastate it;
he will ruin its face
    and scatter its inhabitants—

    for the master as for his servant,
    for the mistress as for her servant,
    for seller as for buyer,
    for borrower as for lender,
    for debtor as for creditor.
³ The earth will be completely laid waste
    and totally plundered.
The Lord has spoken this word.

⁴ The earth dries up and withers,
    the world languishes and withers,
    the heavens languish with the earth.
⁵ The earth is defiled by its people;
    they have disobeyed the laws,
violated the statutes
    and broken the everlasting covenant.
⁶ Therefore a curse consumes the earth;
    its people must bear their guilt.
Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up,
    and very few are left.
⁷ The new wine dries up and the vine withers;
    all the merrymakers groan.
⁸ The joyful timbrels are stilled,
    the noise of the revelers has stopped,
    the joyful harp is silent.
⁹ No longer do they drink wine with a song;
    the beer is bitter to its drinkers.
¹⁰ The ruined city lies desolate;
    the entrance to every house is barred.
¹¹ In the streets they cry out for wine;
    all joy turns to gloom,
    all joyful sounds are banished from the earth.
¹² The city is left in ruins,
    its gate is battered to pieces.
¹³ So will it be on the earth
    and among the nations,
as when an olive tree is beaten,
    or as when gleanings are left after the grape harvest.

¹⁴ They raise their voices, they shout for joy;
    from the west they acclaim the Lord’s majesty.
¹⁵ Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord;
    exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel,
    in the islands of the sea.
¹⁶ From the ends of the earth we hear singing:
    “Glory to the Righteous One.”

But I said, “I waste away, I waste away!
    Woe to me!
The treacherous betray!
    With treachery the treacherous betray!”
¹⁷ Terror and pit and snare await you,
    people of the earth.
¹⁸ Whoever flees at the sound of terror
    will fall into a pit;
whoever climbs out of the pit
    will be caught in a snare.

The floodgates of the heavens are opened,
    the foundations of the earth shake.
¹⁹ The earth is broken up,
    the earth is split asunder,
    the earth is violently shaken.
²⁰ The earth reels like a drunkard,
    it sways like a hut in the wind;
so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion
    that it falls—never to rise again.

²¹ In that day the Lord will punish
    the powers in the heavens above
    and the kings on the earth below.
²² They will be herded together
    like prisoners bound in a dungeon;
they will be shut up in prison
    and be punished^[a] after many days.
²³ The moon will be dismayed,
    the sun ashamed;
for the Lord Almighty will reign
    on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem,
    and before its elders—with great glory.”

So, if we look at verses 4 through 6, we see that a curse has been brought to the Earth because of the evil that has consumed it by its inhabitants. There is no more joy because of the covenant that has been broken with God. Therefore, a curse consumes the Earth, and its people must bear their guilt (Purification). In verse 2, we see that everyone will be affected and none of us are exempt from being Purified. After the Purification, we will shout out Our Lord’s praises in verses 14 -16 (Possibly the Warning and Second Pentecost). However, there will be few left, and the treacherous (elites and evil rulers) who betrayed all of the inhabitants of the Earth will answer to God in His wrath.

If we look at verses 19 through 20, we see that Our Lord is going to use something very spectacular that would cause the Earth to not only break up and split (earthquakes and crustal shifts), but also to violently shake and reel like a drunkard and sway like a hut in the wind. Isaiah is speaking of the whole Earth here! He is not just speaking about a few continents. He is saying the WHOLE EARTH WILL REEL LIKE A DRUNKARD and SWAY LIKE A HUT IN THE WIND. So, as Gill Broussard tells us that God has used this Planet-sized Comet before throughout Biblical history and He will use it again to renew the Heaven and Earth at the end of these particular times. Also, in verses 21 through 22, Our Lord is going to punish the powers in the heaven above and the earth below. Meaning, God is going to punish Satan by defeating him and locking him up for a thousand years and He is going to punish the Kings of the Earth (which are the evil nation rulers and elites).

We know this to be true because of what is written in the Book of Revelation 19:19-21, and Revelation, 20:1-3.

Here is the latest interview with Christian astronomer Gill Broussard. Gill is not Catholic and believes everyone should go to Jerusalem to be protected in a refuge, but we know in our hearts that God is going to protect those that He has chosen here in our parts of the world with the help of Our Blessed Mother, and we appreciate the Biblical research he has done to prepare all Christians of his findings on Planet 7X. Gill Broussard is now saying in this interview that there could be a sighting of Planet 7X in the Feast of Succoth or Sukkot, which is October 9 -16th, 2022. We also have to take into account the Blood Moon in May 2022, and then another in November 2022.

Gill said that if the first meteor shower comes in October, 2022 in the tail of this Comet, then the next 150 days of the second big meteor shower will put us in April, 2023, which is the second flyby of this Comet-Planet closest to Earth. No one has seen this Planet- sized Comet as of yet, but Gill has a new timeline in this interview that is shown at about the 40-minute mark. If you click on the video and pause it, you can see his new estimations of when Planet 7X may be seen and of course begin wreaking more havoc on the Earth with its gravitational pull causing crustal shifts, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and debris hitting the Earth (meteor shower). During the Purification period, we all will be subjected to what is happening to the Earth as Planet 7X makes its approach, and all of the evil that the Elites will impose on us with war, more plagues, and persecution. But, when the Tribulation begins, we will not be subjected to God’s wrath. So, we must not be afraid, but continue to ready our hearts Spiritually, like the Prophets are telling us. We can only pray that Our Lord will allow the Warning/Illumination of Conscience to come soon when this begins, so that we all may be safe in a physical refuge.

Let us Pray – Lord, we are sorry for all of the evil that is consuming the Earth right now, and we make acts of prayer and reparation for the sins and offenses committed against the Blessed Trinity, the Blessed Sacrament and Our Blessed Mother. We offer up all of our prayers, works, joy, pain and suffering and unite them to Your Cross for the salvation of souls, and for all of us to live in Your Divine Will. Our heart’s desire is to please You and console Your Sacred Heart and You in Your suffering. Please continue to make us worthy of all of Your promises and if we are not worthy, please convict us of our sins so that we may confess them with a sorrowful and contrite heart. We continue to pray to receive all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be used to glorify You and spread Your gospel to the nations. I just received confirmation on a word I received from Our Lord at 2:00 am two days ago to “Keep Going.” I was listening to one of the videos from the End Times yesterday and heard a message from Our Lord to Giselle Cardia to all of His Children “You are all doing a good job, keep going, do not stop at any costs.” It was so beautiful to hear Our Lord say this because we know He is truly speaking to all of us to persevere in Faith in Him. I am going to play this video first today, because I believe we all need to hear this beautiful message from Our Lord. We are all trying to please Our Lord as His Disciples, and if we don’t receive consolations from Him through prayer or our alone time with Him in Adoration, we have to remember that it is not because He doesn’t love us. Part of our purification to become Saints is for Our Lord to pull back, so that we may strive harder for holiness. It is our love and desire to please Him every day that keeps us striving for the straight and narrow path through the narrow gate to Heaven. It is not the wide road that many follow in the ways of the world. So, we will all experience at some point of our Spiritual journey with Our Lord, dryness in prayer, and difficulty in feeling Our Lord’s presence. It doesn’t mean that Our Lord has left us, or that we have offended Him. It simply means that we increase our devotions in prayer, receiving His Holy Body, attending more Holy Mass, and Adoration. So, I needed to hear this beautiful message from Our Lord, and I pray that it gives many of you all consolation as well that as God’s Disciple, “you are doing a good job, KEEP GOING, do not stop at any costs.”

Let us Pray – Lord, we continue to pray with all of our hearts for the gift of endurance and fortitude. We ask of You now to receive all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to assist us in our struggles for holiness. We accept the gifts of Purification, but pray for Your presence with us as we need Your Divine Graces to get through everything You have asked us to carry in our crosses. Something that we would like to add to all of his research because we also are discerning with him for Our Lord, is that there will be a Blood Moon that occurs on May 16, 2022. If we continue to follow St. Padre Pio’s prophetic message of “Beware of the Month of May” we also would like to add that if catastrophic events occur after this Blood Moon in May, then the next Blood Moon will be November 7-8, 2022. Both of these total lunar eclipses will be approximately 180 days apart. Again, we are just watchmen for Our Lord serving Him in trying to prepare everyone and encouraging everyone to turn back to God. Goodmorning Disciples of Jesus Christ. I woke up at 2:00 am this morning asking Our Lord what else I needed to do for Him, and I simply heard the words, “Keep Going”. So, although it seems like we should all just stop writing these posts and focus on Jesus with prayer and adoration, Our Lord said to “Keep Going”. So, we must be obedient to His Divine Will and keep persevering in Faith that we are remaining in His Will by encouraging others to come back to Him through this blog. After listening to Father Dan Reehil’s Radio Maria Podcast show from March 29, 2022, we are going to post the whole Book of Hebrews for you to study and reflect on today for Lent. Christ’s Perfect Sacrifice
(Psalm 40:1–17)

“1For the law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. 2If it could, would not the offerings have ceased? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt the guilt of their sins.

3Instead, those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, 4because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said:

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,

but a body You prepared for Me.

6In burnt offerings and sin offerings

You took no delight.

7Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about Me in the scroll:

I have come to do Your will, O God.’ ”a

8In the passage above He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor did You delight in them” (although they are offered according to the law). 9Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second. 10And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11Day after day every priest stands to minister and to offer again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12But when this Priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God. 13Since that time, He waits for His enemies to be made a footstool for His feet, 14because by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified.

15The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First He says:

16“This is the covenant I will make with them

after those days, declares the Lord.

I will put My laws in their hearts

and inscribe them on their minds.”b

17Then He adds:

“Their sins and lawless acts

I will remember no more.”c

18And where these have been forgiven, an offering for sin is no longer needed.

A Call to Persevere
(Jude 1:17–23)

19Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Placed by the blood of Jesus, 20by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body,e 21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

23Let us hold resolutely to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. 25Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

26If we deliberately go on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins remains, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume all adversaries. 28Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

30For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,”f and again, “The Lord will judge His people.”g 31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32Remember the early days that you were in the light.h In those days, you endured a great conflict in the face of suffering. 33Sometimes you were publicly exposed to ridicule and persecution; at other times you were partners with those who were so treated. 34You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, knowing that you yourselves had a better and permanent possession.

35So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward. 36You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. 37For,

“In just a little while,

He who is coming will come and will not delay.

38But My righteous one will live by faith;i

and if he shrinks back,

I will take no pleasure in him.”j

39But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.”

If we look at Hebrews, Chapter 10, verses 19-39, we see that we must persevere in Faith.

St. Paul tells us in verses 26 through 31 that if we deliberately sin after we have the knowledge of Truth, no further sacrifice for sins remains, but only a fearful expectation of judgement and of raging fire that will consume all adversaries. This is what we are getting ready to witness in our lifetime because of the profanation taking place against those who trampled on the Son of God and profaned the blood of the covenant and insulted the Spirit of grace. There are so many sins and blasphemies that are occurring all over the world right now mocking God and the beautiful gift He gave us for salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. So, if you are a fallen away Christian, meaning, you have been given the Truth, but don’t seek Our Lord daily and you don’t abide in all of His Ways, and Commandments, then you must come back to Him, so that He does not consider you an adversary, but a child that is repentant and sorrowful for sins committed against Him!

But for those that us that do try and seek Our Lord’s Will daily, living out His Holy Word that He has given us, confessing our sins regularly and striving for perfection like He told us, then we must not throw away our Confidence in God! We must persevere because we have constantly strived to do His Will, and we will receive the reward He has promised us! St. Paul tells us in verses 37-39, “In just a little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by Faith; and if he shrinks back, I will take no pleasure in him.” “But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and persevere their souls.”

We must “Keep Going”.

Let us Pray – Lord, we pray for the gifts of fortitude and perseverance to live in Your Divine Will. These times are getting harder for many of us experiencing war and plagues, but we call upon Your graces for strength. We can do nothing without Your graces, and we need Your Holy Spirit to set us on Holy Fire to “Keep Going” like You have commanded us. We Love You Lord, and Your Will is our hearts desire. We pray for the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, and all of the Angels and Saints to pray for us to have the same gifts of fortitude and endurance to abide in all of Your Ways and live in Your Divine Will like they did. We have expectant Faith that You will continue to provide us the strength and fortitude we need to keep encouraging each other and calling souls back to Your Sacred Heart. Amen.

⁵² The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” ⁵³ So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. ⁵⁴ Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. ⁵⁶ Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread^[a] the fathers ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” ⁵⁹ Jesus^[b] said these things in the synagogue, as he taught at Capernaum.

The Words of Eternal Life

⁶⁰ When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?” ⁶¹ But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, said to them, “Do you take offense at this? ⁶² Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? ⁶³ It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. ⁶⁴ But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) ⁶⁵ And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

⁶⁶ After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him.

Father Dan Reehil makes a very good point in his Radio Maria Podcast about Our Lord, Jesus Christ, teaching us and professing in these Scripture passages that HE IS THE TRUE BREAD OF LIFE. In verses 53 through 58, Our Lord tells us with His own mouth that “Unless we eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.”

Our Lord tells us that we MUST eat His flesh and drink His Blood, to have eternal life! He did not say we should see it as a symbol, or a metaphor. And the interesting point that Father Dan makes in his podcast show is that when some of the Disciples walked away because they were disheartened about what Our Lord was saying to them, OUR LORD DID NOT STOP THEM. In fact, Our Lord was shocked that they DID NOT BELIEVE what He was telling them. In verses 61-63, Our Lord said to His Disciples, “Do you take offense to this?” “Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? It is the Spirit who gives life. But there are some who do not believe.”

So, we know the Truth by what Our Lord is telling us here because we have the Holy Spirit guiding us to all Truth! Jesus is the Way, The Truth, and The Life! We can’t get to the Father unless we go through the Son (Way). He is the (Truth) because everything that comes from Him is TRUTH. So, if you don’t believe His words here, then you don’t have the full Truth (Holy Spirit) in you. And He is the (Life), which is His real Body and Blood that came down from Heaven as the Bread we eat so that we may have eternal LIFE. Because we BELIEVE this is HIS REAL BODY and BLOOD, we will be raised on the last day!

If you are a Catholic or non-Catholic Christian that does not believe what Our Lord said here in this most important Holy Word from Our Lord, please take time today to reflect on this and ask Our Lord personally in prayer. Because you don’t want to be one of the Disciples that walked away from Our Lord because you could not fully believe that Jesus was referring to His real flesh and blood, like the Disciples that do this in verse 60.

Goodmorning Disciples of Jesus Christ. Today, we are going to reflect on the Gospel of Luke, all of Chapter 9 in God’s Holy Word. When we reflect on the Transfiguration of Our Lord, we know that it is about His fuller understanding of His Exodus and fulfillment of His mission for our salvation. So, let’s take a look at what God is showing us that is important for us to know as His Disciples. Jesus Sends Out the Twelve

9 When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, ² and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. ³ He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. ⁴ Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. ⁵ If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” ⁶ So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere. ⁷ Now Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was going on. And he was perplexed because some were saying that John had been raised from the dead, ⁸ others that Elijah had appeared, and still others that one of the prophets of long ago had come back to life. ⁹ But Herod said, “I beheaded John. Who, then, is this I hear such things about?” And he tried to see him.

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

¹⁰ When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida, ¹¹ but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing. ¹² Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.” ¹³ He replied, “You give them something to eat.” They answered, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd.” ¹⁴ (About five thousand men were there.) But he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” ¹⁵ The disciples did so, and everyone sat down. ¹⁶ Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. ¹⁷ They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah

¹⁸ Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say I am?” ¹⁹ They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.” ²⁰ “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “God’s Messiah.”

Jesus Predicts His Death

²¹ Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone. ²² And he said, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.” ²³ Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. ²⁴ For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. ²⁵ What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? ²⁶ Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. ²⁷ “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”

The Transfiguration

²⁸ About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. ²⁹ As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. ³⁰ Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. ³¹ They spoke about his departure,^[a] which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. ³² Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. ³³ As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” (He did not know what he was saying.) ³⁴ While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and covered them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. ³⁵ A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.” ³⁶ When the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone. The disciples kept this to themselves and did not tell anyone at that time what they had seen.

Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy

³⁷ The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him. ³⁸ A man in the crowd called out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child. ³⁹ A spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him. ⁴⁰ I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not.” ⁴¹ “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.” ⁴² Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the impure spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father. ⁴³ And they were all amazed at the greatness of God.

Jesus Predicts His Death a Second Time

While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus did, he said to his disciples, ⁴⁴ “Listen carefully to what I am about to tell you: The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men.” ⁴⁵ But they did not understand what this meant. It was hidden from them, so that they did not grasp it, and they were afraid to ask him about it. ⁴⁶ An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest. ⁴⁷ Jesus, knowing their thoughts, took a little child and had him stand beside him. ⁴⁸ Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.” ⁴⁹ “Master,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us.” ⁵⁰ “Do not stop him,” Jesus said, “for whoever is not against you is for you.”

Samaritan Opposition

⁵¹ As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem. ⁵² And he sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for him; ⁵³ but the people there did not welcome him, because he was heading for Jerusalem. ⁵⁴ When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them^[b]?” ⁵⁵ But Jesus turned and rebuked them. ⁵⁶ Then he and his disciples went to another village.

The Cost of Following Jesus

⁵⁷ As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” ⁵⁸ Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” ⁵⁹ He said to another man, “Follow me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” ⁶⁰ Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” ⁶¹ Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.” ⁶² Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

This whole chapter in the Gospel of Luke is great because as it is revealed to the Apostles very gently and slowly about why Jesus came from Heaven for our eternal salvation, it was also revealed to them what their mission was to be for Our Lord and as a Christ follower (Disciple). The miracles that Our Lord performed were to build up the Apostle’s Faith, but there was also a gentle reminder that there will be huge sacrifices for everyone that truly follow Him. Our Lord always exemplified the perfect role model of what it means to serve God, but do we have a full understanding of what that really means or are we similar to the Apostles in verses 44 through 50 in not fully understanding the Humility we must obtain in following Our Lord and leaving everything behind, and this may even mean giving up our lives for Him.

As Moses and Elijah prepared our Lord for His Exodus from Earth and completing the fulfillment of His full sacrifice on the cross, death and resurrection in verses 29 -36, Our Lord was Transfigured in a glowing light that God allowed both Peter, John, and James to witness. Then they all heard God Our Father speak of Our Lord as “His Son being “chosen” to fulfill this sacrifice and we must listen to Him”. We know this to mean that Jesus was “chosen” by God as the only one who was worthy enough as the spotless Lamb to make reparation for our sins against God. God Our Father is also telling us in this verse that not only is Jesus “chosen”, but that we must LISTEN TO HIM.

Because God Our Father allowed Peter, James and John to witness this Transfiguration, we must ask ourselves if we are fully awake in hearing God’s voice and allowing Him to transfigure our hearts to prepare for Our Lord’s Second Coming? Just as the Apostles were being prepared for the suffering, death, and resurrection of Our Lord in fulfillment of the Scriptures for His First Coming. Are we preparing ourselves for the possibility of Our Lord’s Second Coming and the final harvest? Even if as Christ’s followers, we aren’t fully sure that this is the time of the fulfillment of the Book of Revelations, shouldn’t we still be prepared like Our Lord asked us to be as the five wise virgins? Always prepared for Him Spiritually and not asleep or lukewarm?

So, this Lent should be the most special Lenten period we have ever put forth in an effort to get closer to Our Lord. Because we must be fully awake to the possibility that He is coming back soon, after the Warning/Illumination of Conscience has occurred. We also must acknowledge that both Moses and Elijah were present with Our Lord during His Transfiguration. So, again, it will be in our time, that both God’s Laws that must be obeyed and His Prophets preparing us for another Transfiguration period in our time.

If the Warning/Illumination of Conscience is viewed as another form of Transfiguration for us and our hearts by God and is similar to a Second Pentecost, then we best prepare ourselves as much as possible now, so that we may be witnesses again for God’s Glory, like the First Apostles. We must also be prepared to follow Him all the way to the end in Humility and Sacrifice, even if our own lives are at stake, because this is what it means to be a Disciple.

When Our Lord does decide to have the Warning/Illumination of Conscience, we must LISTEN TO HIM again and know that we will have little time left after the Warning to make our hearts fully transfigured through conversion in CONFESSION and REPENTANCE. This is the time now during this Lent to get as much sin off our souls as possible to be ready for Our Lord. Please don’t miss this last-minute opportunity to do so, while we still can.

Let us Pray – Lord, we come to You with a full contrite and sorrowful heart not only for our sins, but all the sins and offenses being committed against You by the whole world. If we still need conviction by Your Holy Spirit as Your Disciples to confess our sins, please allow us this Grace before You come to us in the Warning. We are preparing our hearts now and we are seeking You in the Holy Eucharist when we receive Your Holy Body in Communion with You, and we are also seeking Your presence in Adoration to be guided in Your Divine Will. We pray for all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and we continue to pray for all of those that are not prepared for the Warning. Amen.
