We are also going to reflect on Psalm 116 today in God’s Holy Word. As we are all struggling to become saints and moving from the Purgative way into the Illuminative way of the Spiritual life, we go from feeling all of the consolations that we have become so accustomed to from feeling Our Lord’s presence and hearing His voice, to feeling the oppression of the enemy trying to constantly pull us down to make us give up on our service to Our Lord and staying in God’s obedience. We know that we will experience these struggles, but until we actually go through them, we really have trouble overcoming them without the graces of God. Because we are transitioning from the Purgative way to the Illuminative way, God is strengthening our ability to not just rely on Him but continue to seek all Truth until it is revealed to us of what is holding us back from our Spiritual growth to become His saints. Here is Mathewsix25to34 explaining and teaching how to break the stronghold of lies that Satan continues to use against us by reinforcing the lie with life experiences that continue to allow us to believe the lie that Satan is using as a stronghold. At about the 37-minute mark, Matthew explains that we must detach ourselves from the mental stronghold that Satan has brought against us and step away from our intellect and into our Spirit. This is exactly what we must learn to move away from in the Purgative way and moving into the Illuminative way because we have to learn to live by the Holy Spirit that lives in us, and not by the mental intellect that God has given us (this is why it is called the dark night of the senses). This is really good because we are seeking God’s Divine Will for ourselves, but when God pulls back His consolations and graces that He has given us in understanding before, now we have to seek His Truth more deeply through His written and Holy Word, until we get to where God is leading us to go, lest we remain stuck in our Spiritual growth and in our senses. Here are all of the Scriptures on taking our thoughts captive. We must remember that as the labor pains get worse, so will the fierce attack from Satan on our minds, especially since we will be seeing the evil manifest itself physically. This evil will come from famine, weather disasters, earthquakes, civil unrest, volcanic eruptions, and plagues. As we are experiencing these disasters, the devil will use lies in our minds to tell us that we have been abandoned by God, but we have not! So, we must continually take our thoughts captive in order to not allow Satan to set up a stronghold against us in the future, or now if we are going through this dark night right now. Now, here is “The Remedy” that God has shown Matthewsix25to34. The Remedy that Matthew is teaching us is to remove the lie that the devil has used against us that God has shown us and believe in God and His TRUTH. Then, we break the stronghold (lie) the devil has used by repeating this lie in our minds that has caused the emotion in us, which could be Anger, Sadness, Resentment, and Confusion that we must give to God to overcome through Permission. We do this by giving God Permission to transform us (our will) and then speaking the TRUTH in our minds from God’s Holy Word and saying this Truth in our minds constantly. We are essentially renewing our minds with the Holy Word of God, which is all Truth and giving God permission to transform us with His Graces. The contemplative prayer we do with Our Lord in front of the Blessed Sacrament is best to keep spending time with God, Surrendering to His Divine Will, and repeating all of the written Truths in His Holy Word. We may have to live through a year of increased natural disasters, war, famine and plague, and only God knows what He will allow before the Warning/Illumination of Conscience takes place and how long our Purification will last. However, we are still praying for His Divine Will and the salvation of souls, and we know that the Warning/Illumination of Conscience will bring souls back to Our Lord, Jesus Christ and this will also be the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. If there is a whole year, or less than twelve months between the Warning/Illumination of Conscience, and the Miracle that takes place that can be seen, but not touched in Garabandal and Medjugorje, then this may be the Purification period time frame, and also the completion of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, before God returns with His Divine justice and wrath.
