Good Morning Disciples of Jesus Christ. Today, we are going to reflect on Romans, Chapter 8, and what it means to live Life Through the Holy Spirit. But first, here is the Sunday Holy Mass celebrated at St. Mary’s Parish in Ottawa, Canada. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02kuLb6vRkI.
Here is Romans, Chapter 8, in God’s Holy Word. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=romans%208&version=NIV.
Life Through the Spirit
“8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh,[b] God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.[c] And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life[d] because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of[e] his Spirit who lives in you.
12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[f] And by him we cry, “Abba,[g] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Present Suffering and Future Glory
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that[h] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
More Than Conquerors
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[j]
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Wow! Doesn’t this letter from St. Paul light your hearts on fire and love for God? What is so powerful in this letter is the fact that St. Paul lays out for us what it means to yield to the Holy Spirit to become a child of God as first a foundation. Then, he builds it up by showing us that we must yield to the Holy Spirit and not to the world through our flesh. Then, he finishes it by saying that as Children of God, living with the Holy Spirit, we are Sanctified to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and a Child of God, which makes our souls untouchable. This means, that although, we die in the flesh, we will never die the second death in the Spirit.
St. Paul begins by telling us that Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, died for our sins and our Salvation, so that we could be adopted in as God’s Children. However, St. Paul clearly states that in order to be adopted in as a child of God, we MUST live by the laws of God in order to receive the Holy Spirit. To live by the flesh, means that we are not CHOOSING to live by God’s Commandments and Laws, therefore, we are living for our own desires, instead of God’s Will. It is God’s Will that we abide in all of His Ways, Laws, and Commandments, in order to receive the Holy Spirit to live a life in the Spirit and not in the flesh. He clearly tells us that if we live a life in the flesh, then we are dead to God through sin. But, if we are a believer in Jesus Christ, and live according to what God is revealing to us through His Holy Spirit in His Word in Holy Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the True Magisterium of the Church, then we are choosing to live with the Spirit. If there is anything that goes against what God is commanding of us, then we are not living in the Spirit, but in the flesh of our own desires. Jesus Christ, Our Lord, suffered and died for our sins, so that we might be saved, not so we could continue to live our lives in sin in the ways of the world and flesh.
So, if we are living according to God’s ways, laws and commandments, and we are trying really hard to eradicate all sin from our lives, then we are living for God and His Divine Will, and not our will. Then, we learn to yield to the Holy Spirit, begin to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit, thus becoming True Disciples to Serve Our Lord that are Sanctified, and St. Paul finished it off by stating, “No one can be against Us.” We have almighty God backing us as His Children, and our souls can’t be touched.
If we have anything contrary to God’s Laws and Commandments in our lives, then we must ask Him to forgive us with a contrite heart, then begin to pray for the Holy Spirit to convict (show) us of these sins, so that we eradicate them completely, and ask how we can get back to being rightly ordered to God and His Divine Will. We CAN’T LIVE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH (The Ways of The World), and the Holy Spirit. Meaning, the Holy Spirit will not work in you, or through you, if you are living a life in sin. This is why being a Disciple is a constant learning and Transformation for all of us, no matter how holy we have tried to be for Our Lord. We are constantly working on removing our sins, and working on our Relationship with Our Lord, and then the Holy Spirit begins to work on our hearts to yield to God’s Will, thus Transforming our minds. This is why this blog is about the process of Surrendering to God our hearts, building our Relationship with Him, Being Transformed by The Holy Spirit, then becoming a Disciple for Him.
2 Corinthians 3:18New International Version
18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Here are some recent videos by Mother and Refuge of The End Times, the first being on the Synod that opened the other day in Rome and if there will come any changes to our Catholic Church. We will not know this answer until more is revealed, but here it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YVBs0FCuv8.
Here is a clarification by Mother and Refuge of The End Times on the video they posted above. We also agree with everything that was discussed by Ron and Mary Rivas in this video. Our Lord does not want us to judge anyone that is going against the True Magisterium of the Church. He wants us to pray for them, and this includes all Priests, Seminarians, Religious and the Pope. This doesn’t mean we live a life in confusion, but we seek the Truth from Our Lord and the Holy Spirit and we continue to live according to God’s Holy Word and the True Magisterium of the Church, and not any changes that may be coming out of this Synod that are contrary to the past 2000 years of Sacred Tradition and have always been abiding in God’s Laws, Commandments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LHlEth2erU.

Here is Fox News discussing the madness of the intent of the Biden Administration encouraging employers to force vaccinations on it’s employees or be fired. For those that do not live in the United States, there is a huge dispute right now with the Chicago Police Department Labor Union and Chicago Mayor, Lightfoot, who is trying to fire Chicago police officers who do not want to receive the trial vaccine. The Biden Administration will continue to put the pressure on everyone to be forced to get the vaccine because they are part of the Build, Back, Better, ideology to a One World Order. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eY78cl6J5Y.
